Levulan is applied to the skin and left on for approximately 40-45 minutes, It is then activated by pulsed dye laser light. Levulanis a photosensitizing agent used to treat warty overgrowths of skin (actinic keratoses) on sun-exposed areas of the face and scalp. It’s a light sensitizing drug used to treat many types of skin conditions and certain types of skin cancer.
